Abundance: The Glass Half Full
Abundance is the second element of the Compass Star PATH (which stands for Passion, Abundance, Time and Health). It is the more traditional view of wealth representing actual money and material abundance.
A key facilitator of increasing abundance into your life is whether you view the world through the lens of scarcity or plenty, I explain this in detail in my book. Imagine if you have an unexpected bill come in, and you have to take that money from your savings. You can begrudge the universe for sending that extra bill (scarcity mind-set) or be thankful you had set money aside for times like this (plenty mind-set).
Looking at the glass as ‘half empty’ brings feelings of scarcity, as you are looking at what is missing, or what has been lost. If you are of the scarcity mind-set, you will be in a hyper competitive state with others, as there is only so much abundance to go around. Whether it is job promotions, homes, material items, or relationships, you will see them as scarce and thus hard to come by.
Alternatively, if you look at this same glass as ‘half full,’ then you are looking at what you have; your current abundance, and future potential. It is more than being grateful: if you have a plenty mind-set, you will be more resilient and creative when finding opportunities to build wealth.
Both the scarcity and plenty perspectives can be true, as with the glass that is ‘half empty’ or ‘half full.’ It is equally both.
Which glass do you choose?
